The next day, at the National University, in the president’s office.

As soon as Jiang Xiaofei stepped into Zhou Shiqin’s office, he was immediately captivated by the scene before him.

Behind the desk, a woman was bending over to tend to a flower arrangement. Her full figure seemed ready to burst out of the white blouse she wore, her curves almost tangible.

Unconsciously, Jiang Xiaofei compared this woman to Zhou Shiqin and found her even more voluptuous and ripe, exuding a mature allure that seemed to drip with temptation.

She was simply a siren, igniting desire at a glance. Even Jiang Xiaofei himself couldn’t help but feel a physical reaction.

Perhaps sensing his gaze, the woman straightened up, frowned, and asked, “Who are you?”

Jiang Xiaofei quickly answered, “My name is Jiang Xiaofei. I’m here to see President Zhou. By the way, where is she today?”

The woman replied, “So you’re Jiang Xiaofei. President Zhou couldn’t make it today due to other matters and asked me to arrange your work.”

Jiang Xiaofei nodded. “I see.”

He then asked, “May I ask your name?”

She smiled. “I’m Tang Zhirou, the director of the Academic Affairs Office here. You can just call me Director Tang.”

“What a lovely name,” Jiang Xiaofei thought, then said aloud, “Thank you for your trouble, Director Tang.”

Tang Zhirou laughed. “It’s no trouble at all. President Zhou has already told me about you. Let me take you to get acquainted with the Talents Class.”

Jiang Xiaofei nodded in agreement.

At that moment, in the Talents Class, a few students were scattered around the classroom.

By the window sat a girl in short sleeves, who turned to her desk mate and said, “Xiaoxue, I heard we’re getting a new professor today.”

Her friend, Xiaoxue, replied, “Sister Xiaofang, I heard that too. They say he’s handsome, too.”

Li Xiaoxue’s face showed clear anticipation, as if she were quite excited about the arrival of the new professor.

Li Xiaofang sighed at her. “Don’t get your hopes up. No matter how handsome he is, he can’t escape being put in his place by Lin Xiaofeng and Chen Hao.”

Li Xiaoxue nodded. “True. By the way, where are Lin Xiaofeng and the others?”

Li Xiaofang answered, “You haven’t heard? An hour ago, Xie Xuanxuan took them to look for Song Jie in the Prodigies Class to settle a score!”

Meanwhile, outside in the corridor, a group of students were laughing and playing. Suddenly, a woman’s stern voice echoed from the far end.

“What time do you think it is? Still loitering around? Get into the classroom at once!”

At the sound of her voice, everyone in the hallway froze and then, as if by tacit agreement, all turned to look down the right side of the corridor.

There, Tang Zhirou was walking over with Jiang Xiaofei, the two chatting and laughing.

When they recognized Tang Zhirou, the students seemed to shrink away in fear and hurried into the classroom.

Jiang Xiaofei, surprised by the suddenly deserted corridor, turned to Tang Zhirou and asked, “Why do the students seem so afraid of you?”

Tang Zhirou smiled. “Because I’m a mage, too.”

Jiang Xiaofei understood instantly and nodded. “So that’s it.”

Inside, the students were astonished.

Those who had rushed in sat obediently at their desks, pulling out textbooks and pretending to study intently.

Li Xiaofang took it all in, then asked a boy who had just sat down, “Lin Tianfeng, what’s going on?”

Lin Tianfeng replied, “Director Tang is here.”

Li Xiaofang frowned. “But Director Tang never bothers with our class.”

“Who knows? Maybe she’s here to catch someone?” Lin Tianfeng said, pulling out his book and pretending to read.

At that moment, Tang Zhirou entered, immediately drawing every student’s attention. Even Jiang Xiaofei, following behind, was completely ignored.

“Director Tang, you look beautiful today!” someone called out.

Tang Zhirou strode up to the podium, sweeping her gaze across the male students and said coldly, “Cut the act. Don’t think I don’t know what you’re up to. If I catch anyone getting fresh with me, I’ll snap his lifeline, understand?”

She said this without the slightest blush, though the girls instantly flushed red at her words.

The boys, hearing her threat, buried their heads in their books, any stray thoughts vanishing at once.

Jiang Xiaofei watched, smiling silently, but he had to admit that Tang Zhirou’s figure was truly alluring, especially at such close range—he could see every perfect curve. If he didn’t restrain himself, he’d embarrass himself again.

Then Tang Zhirou withdrew her gaze from the students and turned to Jiang Xiaofei. “Class, let me introduce you. This is Professor Jiang, your new instructor. From now on, he’ll be in charge of your class. Let’s give him a warm welcome.”

At her words, the students finally noticed Jiang Xiaofei, offering perfunctory applause and greetings. “Hello, Professor Jiang.”

Jiang Xiaofei felt their lukewarm reception and smiled. “Hello, everyone. From now on, I’ll be your Professor Jiang. I hope we can all work well together.”

The students didn’t respond, barely glancing up from their books, as if he didn’t exist.

“Do your best!” Tang Zhirou said, patting Jiang Xiaofei on the shoulder before leaving the classroom.

Once she left, Jiang Xiaofei’s face darkened. It was obvious these students had no intention of welcoming him, which left him both embarrassed and angry.

His gaze swept over the class sharply as he spoke in a cold voice, “I don’t care how powerful your backers are, or how great a mage you think you are. If you try to pull rank in front of me, I’ll make you regret it. If you respect me, I’ll respect you. Otherwise, your fate will be the same as this podium.”

As he finished, he slammed his palm down on the podium. With a resounding crack, the desk splintered into pieces.

The students stared in shock.

“My god, the new professor is a mage too!”

“Looks like he’s an intermediate mage.”

“I never expected the school would assign us a mage as our professor. Now things are getting interesting!”

“That’s right—some people are in trouble now!”

Still, a few students were unimpressed. One boy sneered, “He’s just an intermediate mage. He really thinks he’s something special.”

Another chimed in, “Yeah, compared to Feng, he’s nothing.”

Jiang Xiaofei heard this and fixed them with a cold stare. “What did you just say? Say it again if you dare.”

Under the scrutiny of the entire class, Lin Tianfeng stood up, swaggering, and looked Jiang Xiaofei in the eye. “I said you’re nothing but a pile of crap. What are you going to do about it?”

Jiang Xiaofei’s anger flared. He had always hated being disrespected. Without hesitation, he strode over to Lin Tianfeng, and before the whole class, raised his hand and slapped him hard across the face.

The crisp sound echoed through the classroom, instantly silencing everyone.
