Chapter 28: The Fierce School Beauty, Xie Xuanxuan
“Don’t run. If anyone tries, I’ll crash right into them and kill them today,” came a voice, fierce and commanding, from inside the Lamborghini. The students fleeing the track halted at once, none daring to look at the sports car, terrified of being the unlucky one to get hit.
Jiang Xiaofei watched the scene, his brows furrowed as he regarded the Lamborghini. He was curious to see who could be so domineering, threatening students so brazenly.
Under Jiang Xiaofei’s gaze, the Lamborghini screeched to a stop in the middle of the field. The door lifted, and out stretched a dazzlingly white, long leg, followed by the clack of stylish high heels on the ground.
A stunning woman, dressed in the height of fashion, emerged. She wore oversized sunglasses that sparkled in the sunlight, almost blinding to the eye. Her figure was curvaceous and tall, her long hair cascading like a waterfall over her shoulders. With a casual toss of her jet-black hair, she flashed a confident smile that even Jiang Xiaofei found himself momentarily entranced by.
Ordinarily, such a woman would be a breathtaking sight anywhere she walked. Yet Jiang Xiaofei observed only fear on the students’ faces, as if they were deeply intimidated by her. He frowned and turned to Lin Fan beside him, asking, “Who is she? Why do you all seem so afraid of her?”
Lin Fan was surprised. “You mean you don’t know who she is?”
Jiang Xiaofei shook his head. “No idea.”
“Well then,” Lin Fan nodded quietly, “her name is Xie Xuanyuan. She’s one of the three campus belles. Don’t be fooled by her beauty—her temper is explosive. Last time, a younger student provoked her and ended up looking like a battered cat, stunning but completely thrashed.”
“Is she really that formidable?” Jiang Xiaofei frowned. “Don’t you ever fight back? Why let her bully you?”
Lin Fan shook his head. “We’d like to resist, but you don’t know the half of it! Xie Xuanyuan is in the honors class, and she’s the heiress of the Xie Group. The Xie Group is a listed company—a major player in our city. Who would dare cross her?”
He pointed to the Lamborghini. “See that car? It’s worth twenty million. She’s rich, way out of our league.”
Jiang Xiaofei nodded slightly, conceding the point. “Still, now that I’m here, she’ll meet her match.”
Lin Fan was unimpressed. “I advise you not to provoke her, or you’ll regret it.”
Jiang Xiaofei simply smiled and said nothing.
At that moment, a shrill voice rang out. “Whose lousy spinning top hit my car? Whoever it was, step forward now, or I’ll make you regret it!”
Xie Xuanyuan’s words sent a chill through the students, but none dared reply, each avoiding her gaze.
She surveyed their reactions coldly, then barked, “No one’s admitting to it? Then you’ll all suffer my wrath for the owner of that spinning top!”
With that, she stormed back into her Lamborghini like an enraged tigress, clearly intent on venting her fury on the students.
Just then, a male student spoke up loudly, “Ye Zichen, why don’t you admit it? Do you want us all to suffer because of you?”
His voice carried across the field, and instantly, all eyes turned to Ye Zichen. Ye’s face darkened as he glared at the accuser, his tone menacing. “Fine, I’ll remember you. After school, you’ll pay for this.”
The boy quickly looked away.
“Ye Zichen, it’s you again, you bastard!” Xie Xuanyuan shouted, leaping from the Lamborghini and charging at Ye Zichen like a madwoman. Her presence was so intimidating that the students near Ye scattered in fear—except for Jiang Xiaofei, who stood his ground.
Xie Xuanyuan ignored Jiang Xiaofei completely, pointing at Ye Zichen and cursing, “You’ve got a lot of nerve! Didn’t you learn your lesson last time? How dare you hit my car with a spinning top again? You’re infuriating!”
Ye Zichen felt uneasy and hurriedly tried to appease her. “Miss Xie, it’s a misunderstanding, a huge one! I’d never dare hit you with a spinning top!”
“Misunderstanding, my foot! If I don’t teach you a lesson today, I won’t be a Xie!” Enraged, she pummeled Ye Zichen like a furious bear. Ye didn’t dare fight back, enduring her blows until his once-handsome face swelled grotesquely—a sight so pitiful Jiang Xiaofei instinctively leaned away.
Still unsatisfied, Xie Xuanyuan struck Ye Zichen in the stomach with such force that he collapsed, unable to get up for a long while.
Jiang Xiaofei watched, his brows drawn together. He addressed Xie Xuanyuan, “Hey, woman, isn’t that a bit much?”
She cocked an eyebrow, her voice icy. “Who do you think you are, meddling in my affairs? Want me to beat you up, too?”
Ye Zichen, hearing Jiang Xiaofei’s words, grumbled, “Don’t pretend to be righteous. If it weren’t for you, would I be getting beaten up?”
Jiang Xiaofei was speechless.
Ye Zichen, forcing a smile through the pain, said to Xie Xuanyuan, “Well done, Miss Xie. Have you calmed down now?”
She replied coldly, “Not a chance. If I hadn’t reacted in time, your spinning top would’ve cracked my skull! It missed, but it hurt my innocent heart—you owe me compensation.”
Had a little girl said that, Ye Zichen might have believed it. But from Xie Xuanyuan, he couldn’t help but laugh inwardly. “How much do you want?”
She thought for a moment. “Ten million.”
“What? Ten million for emotional damages?” Her words stunned all the students; even Jiang Xiaofei was taken aback.
Ye Zichen’s face grew grim. He managed a weak smile. “Miss Xie, could you lower the amount? Look at what you’ve done to me—I haven’t even asked for medical expenses.”
“No,” she retorted firmly. “That’s your own fault for hitting me with a spinning top. If you don’t pay, believe me, my father could have you expelled from National University with a single word.”
“Fine, I’ll risk it.” Ye Zichen’s expression darkened further. He pointed at Jiang Xiaofei. “Miss Xie, he’s the one who hit you with the spinning top. Ask him for compensation.”
With those words, all the students turned their eyes to Jiang Xiaofei. Xie Xuanyuan also fixed her gaze on him, asking coldly, “Is that true?”
With countless eyes watching, Jiang Xiaofei stepped forward, looking at Xie Xuanyuan with calm indifference. “It’s true, I sent the spinning top flying.”
He smiled, the corners of his mouth lifting. “So what can you do about it?”
