“Could it be that this young man has discovered I’m a mage?” Zhou Shiqin noticed the shock in Jiang Xiaofei’s expression and was secretly astonished.

“It seems I need to test him,” she thought. Picking up a pen from the table, Zhou Shiqin tossed it casually toward Jiang Xiaofei. If one looked closely, there was a faint fluctuation of magical energy encircling the pen.

The pen shot forward at high speed, yet Jiang Xiaofei caught it effortlessly, twirling it in his hand. With a smile, he said, “Principal Zhou, there’s no need for these tricks. To be honest, I’m also a mage.”

Upon hearing this, Zhou Shiqin finally resolved the doubts in her heart. She smiled brightly and said, “No wonder. From the moment you walked in, I sensed you were different from others.”

Jiang Xiaofei laughed, “Principal Zhou, you’re extraordinary as well.”

“You’re quite the smooth talker. Hurry up and start your test,” Zhou Shiqin said coldly, though her heart was secretly delighted. After all, it was the first time a man had praised her like this.

“Oh.” Jiang Xiaofei nodded, gripping the pen and began to work on the test with utmost seriousness.

Seeing Jiang Xiaofei start, Zhou Shiqin opened her computer and asked, “What’s your name?”

“Jiang Xiaofei,” he replied.

“How old are you this year?”

“Twenty-five.”

“Household registration, home address, ID number?”

“Sanjiang City, currently living on Mashijie…” Jiang Xiaofei answered, then set down his pen. Frowning, he looked at Zhou Shiqin and asked, “Isn’t it still pending approval? Why are you entering my information already?”

Zhou Shiqin gave a half-smile, “I have another meeting this afternoon. If I prepare ahead, it saves time! If you don’t pass, I’ll just delete it—it’s not much trouble.”

“I’m sure I’ll pass,” Jiang Xiaofei understood she was teasing him and smiled, picking up the pen on the desk and diligently resumed his work.

A dozen minutes later, Jiang Xiaofei set his pen down and, seeing Zhou Shiqin tidying up her desk, smiled and said, “Principal Zhou, I’ve finished everything. Would you check and see how many points I earned?”

Zhou Shiqin was surprised, “Already?”

Jiang Xiaofei smiled, “Of course. For an academic ace, this is nothing.”

Zhou Shiqin said nothing, but took the test paper he handed over and examined it carefully. After reading, four words flashed through her mind: absolute academic genius.

Out of the 150 points possible, Jiang Xiaofei had answered every question correctly—including the two most difficult ones. Even she had needed a heated discussion with several professors to arrive at the final answers, yet Jiang Xiaofei solved them with ease!

Though his solution process differed, the answers matched, and his methods were concise, pleasing to behold.

Jiang Xiaofei, seeing Zhou Shiqin lost in thought and not replying, grew anxious and asked, “Principal Zhou, did I get something wrong?”

Hearing Jiang Xiaofei’s voice, Zhou Shiqin snapped back to reality, her expression blank before she suddenly smiled.

“Jiang Xiaofei, right? Now I officially inform you: you’ve been admitted to our school.”

At her words, Jiang Xiaofei let out a sigh of relief, then grinned proudly, “See? I knew I’d pass.”

Zhou Shiqin said nothing, placing the test paper down and looking at him, “Your grades are outstanding. Coincidentally, we’re short two top professors and have yet to hire anyone. How about you become one of our professors?”

Jiang Xiaofei’s heart surged with excitement, but he shook his head, “A professor? Am I really qualified?”

Zhou Shiqin smiled, “You’re an academic genius, of course you’re qualified. All it takes is a nod from you.”

She continued, “The treatment for professors here is excellent. The monthly salary is a hundred thousand, housing is in luxury apartments, though ultimately it depends on your own choice.”

Listening to this, Jiang Xiaofei felt as if he’d walked into a pyramid scheme. After a moment’s silence, he asked, “Isn’t being a professor exhausting?”

Zhou Shiqin seemed to know what was on his mind and smiled, “You needn’t worry. Our school isn’t like other universities. Professors only manage one class, and the workload is light.”

“How many students in a class?” he asked.

“Fifty.”

Finding the number manageable, Jiang Xiaofei nodded, “Alright, I’ll be a professor then.”

He couldn’t help but ask, “Which class will I be responsible for?”

“You can choose. Right now, only the Genius Class and the Elite Class are without professors.”

“Elite Class?” Jiang Xiaofei frowned, “Are the students in that class all monsters?”

Zhou Shiqin laughed, “No.”

“Then why such a peculiar name?”

She explained, “Let me put it this way: the Elite Class is made up of the most notorious troublemakers—exceptionally unruly. Because of this, no professor wants to take on that class.”

“I see.” Jiang Xiaofei nodded, then smiled, “Looks like the Elite Class isn’t for me.”

Zhou Shiqin laughed, “Hurry and choose. I have another meeting soon, time’s short.”

At her urging, Jiang Xiaofei suddenly remembered the Ghost Emperor and quickly asked, “Principal Zhou, may I ask which class Takagi Qiu is in?”

Zhou Shiqin smiled, “You’re not here just to chase the campus belle, are you?”

“Heh, to chase her? I’m here to kill her,” Jiang Xiaofei thought to himself.

Aloud, he replied, “Principal Zhou, you’re overthinking it. I’m already married—how could I chase the campus belle?”

“He’s married?” Zhou Shiqin felt an inexplicable sense of loss, but quickly smiled and said, “Takagi Qiu is in the Genius Class.”

Upon hearing this, Jiang Xiaofei didn’t hesitate, “Alright, I’ll take the Genius Class.”

“When do I officially start?”

“Come to my office at this time tomorrow, I’ll make arrangements. For now, familiarize yourself with the campus. If you have any questions or requests, feel free to ask me—but don’t even think about a salary increase.”

The thought of a raise had never crossed Jiang Xiaofei’s mind; in his view, simply entering the National University was more than enough.

Then, looking at Zhou Shiqin, he smiled, “Principal Zhou, you’re overthinking it. A monthly salary of a hundred thousand is already astronomical to me.”

Zhou Shiqin replied coolly, “That’s best. But if you perform well, a raise isn’t out of the question.”

“There’s nothing else for now. Go and get acquainted with the campus.”

“Alright.” Jiang Xiaofei nodded, then rose and left the office under Zhou Shiqin’s gaze.

Once he’d left the principal’s office, Jiang Xiaofei’s mood soared. He felt elated at the thought of entering the Genius Class as a professor—how could the Ghost Emperor not end up at his mercy?

Ghost Emperor, tremble in fear! Now you know terror? Hand over the second volume of the Underworld Ghost Dao and I’ll spare your life!

Jiang Xiaofei fantasized about the Ghost Emperor kneeling and begging for mercy, relishing the thought.

Even as a stunning female professor in a black business suit, with a striking figure, passed by, he didn’t notice her.

The beautiful professor, curious about his dreamy expression, thought, “What kind of person is this? Daydreaming in broad daylight.”

She strode into the principal’s office and, seeing Zhou Shiqin making tea on the sofa, smiled and asked, “Who was that just now?”

Zhou Shiqin looked up and smiled, “He’s the professor I hired, responsible for the Genius Class.”

The beautiful professor sat down and laughed, “Sister Zhou, you really pulled it off—hired a professor for real.”

She frowned slightly, “But is he truly up to the job?”

Zhou Shiqin smiled, “He is. After all, he’s a mage.”

“A mage?” The beautiful professor was surprised, “He doesn’t look like a mage at all—more like one of those troublemakers from the Elite Class.”

Zhou Shiqin laughed, “As the saying goes, you can’t judge a book by its cover. Let’s just wait and see.”
