Chu Muyun had already woken up when Bai Chenxi answered the phone. Looking at the phone shoved into his hand, his expression turned rather stern.

If Bai Chenxi heard correctly, Sister Wang had called Bai Chenxi early in the morning, but she was actually looking for him. It seemed they must have been photographed yesterday.

"Sister Wang."

Hearing Chu Muyun's voice, Wang Ling took a deep breath. Realizing she still couldn't bring herself to converse with him, she tossed the phone to Zhang Kai.

"Muyun, it's me."

Hearing Zhang Kai's voice, Chu Muyun was somewhat surprised.

Wang Ling had called Bai Chenxi's phone for him to answer, yet the person who took over and spoke was Zhang Kai. It seemed today's matter was no small affair.

"What's wrong?"

Zhang Kai asked from the other end of the line, "Um, are you and Bai Chenxi at home right now? We'll be heading over in a bit."

Without wasting words, Chu Muyun agreed directly, "Alright!" If he wanted to find out anything, he could just go online and look it up.

Sure enough, they had been photographed last night after all. That paparazzi had basically followed them the entire way, starting from when they went out to eat until they returned home.

He hadn't expected that despite his usual vigilance, he hadn't noticed a thing this time.

Fearing he might disturb Bai Chenxi last night, he had set his phone to silent. Checking it now, both familiar and unfamiliar contacts on WeChat had sent him messages.

Some offered direct congratulations, like Lan Tian and his likes.

Lan Tian: *Wow~ Brother Chu and sister-in-law, you two are way too sweet!*

Others came to fish for information, either directly or indirectly. But they were all inquiring about his relationship with Bai Chenxi.

Chu Muyun ignored them all along the way. When he flipped to their private group chat of close brothers, the "Universe Handsome Guys Group," it was practically boiling over.

Don't ask why it was called that; if you asked, Jiang Jize was the one who named it. When Jiang Jize originally came up with this name, he had been mercilessly mocked for a while.

The magical part was that nobody had ever bothered to change the name. It left Jiang Jize feeling immensely smug:

*Look! Your true nature is exposed, I knew you'd all be extremely satisfied with this name.*

He Kaici dropped a video into the group without saying anything, and within a few minutes, the group exploded.

*[A once-in-a-lifetime series: I actually get to witness Brother Chu acting like a man in love.]*

*[Talk about an eye-opener!]*

*[Is this still Brother Chu? It's probably a fake one.]*

Naturally, they knew it was Chu Muyun, but they were just teasing him. It was expected that Chu Muyun wouldn't make a sound.

However, Jiang Jize, who was usually the talkative one, remained silent, which still came as quite a surprise to them.

*[@Jiang Jize, stop playing dead, come out.]*

*[Jiang Jize: Can't you just let me grieve in peace for a little while?]*

*[The two of them are doing just fine, what on earth are you grieving for? Could it be......]*

Following that was essentially an ellipsis of a thousand unspoken words.

Wild guessing provoked Jiang Jize into a fit, driven primarily by his sheer instinct for survival.

*[When Brother Chu was out on a date, I was sitting alone in a restaurant waiting for someone, and she never showed up. Don't I have the right to grieve for a bit based on that?]*

*[No way! Your little pampered wife didn't show up? I pity you.]*

*[+1]*

*[+10086]*

The group soon started gossiping about Jiang Jize and his little pampered wife. Since Brother Chu wasn't talking anyway, they might as well seize whichever target was available.

Seeing that the topic had shifted, Chu Muyun contentedly continued lurking. Estimating the time, Zhang Kai and the others should be arriving soon.

Chu Muyun patted Bai Chenxi gently. "Chenxi, wake up."

"Let me sleep a little longer, just a little longer." Without even opening her eyes, Bai Chenxi hugged the quilt and acted spoiled.

"Would you like to check whose place this is before you go back to sleep?"

"My house, obviously! Why are you talking so much?" Bai Chenxi frowned and said impatiently. Who the hell was this person, why was he so annoying?

"My house!" Chu Muyun murmured these words under his breath, feeling exceptionally good.

"Then you can sleep well right here at home!"

Bai Chenxi nodded in a daze, finally feeling free from disturbances.

When Chu Muyun opened the door, Wang Ling's very first words were, "So you really do live right across the hall."

As the two of them stepped inside, Wang Ling glanced around. "Where is Bai Chenxi?"

Chu Muyun gave a light cough. "Still sleeping inside!"

"Which room?"

Chu Muyun wanted to open his mouth to offer an explanation, but Wang Ling completely ignored his attempt and repeated the question, "Which room?"

Chu Muyun reached out and pointed, and without another word, Wang Ling strode over and pushed the door open.

Watching the imposing and aggressive Wang Ling, Chu Muyun acted like a greenhorn as he asked Zhang Kai, "You don't think Chenxi will be in trouble, do you?"

Zhang Kai shot him a sideways glance. "What are you talking about? Is Little Ling that kind of person?"

"Isn't she?"

"If you two hadn't infuriated her, would Little Ling have acted like this?"

As Zhang Kai said this, he defended Wang Ling with an utterly righteous expression.

Chu Muyun harbored a bit of a teasing urge. "When did my manager resign? How come I had no idea?"

Zhang Kai reached out to punch Chu Muyun, but Chu Muyun deftly dodged it.

"Let me tell you, kid, don't play innocent after scoring such a huge bargain. Do you have any idea how exhausted I've been since early this morning because of your mess?"

Chu Muyun nodded in deep agreement, prompting Zhang Kai to say with satisfaction, "Good thing you know!"

"It really is quite exhausting. You even had the energy to get up and eat breakfast—must've been crab roe buns, right?"

Guiltily, Zhang Kai sniffed his own mouth: It seemed there really was a lingering trace of that flavor.

Dropping the act of complaining about his hardship, Zhang Kai cut straight to the point. "What are your thoughts on this? This time is different from the past; those previous incidents were just minor trifles, but the video this time is absolute, solid proof. Are you going to go public?"

Zhang Kai stopped right at the boundary of the question, believing that Chu Muyun himself understood the serious implications involved.

Chu Muyun looked toward the tightly closed bedroom door. "I'll let her choose."

Seeing this look on Chu Muyun's face, Zhang Kai knew his brother had truly fallen head over heels.

Walking over to clap Chu Muyun on the shoulder, Zhang Kai said solemnly, "No matter what, I still have to congratulate you on finding the love of your life."

Chu Muyun didn't refute him either, instead smiling and nodding slightly.

If anyone asked why Zhang Kai was so certain this was the love of his life, it was because Chu Muyun was a man of stubborn conviction—once he met the right person, it was for a lifetime.

Inside the bedroom separated by just a wall, Wang Ling walked in and found Bai Chenxi still fast asleep. She walked right over and yanked the quilt away.

Dissatisfied, Bai Chenxi opened her eyes to see Wang Ling clutching the quilt with a furious expression. Bai Chenxi rubbed her eyes. Wasn't this a dream?

It took her only a few seconds to ascertain that this was no dream. Glancing around the surroundings and then back at the enraged Wang Ling, Bai Chenxi immediately scrambled out of bed.

"Sister Wang, I can explain!"

Wang Ling raised a hand to cut off Bai Chenxi's excuse. "Take a look at your phone first, and explain everything together!"

When Bai Chenxi picked up her phone, a heavy premonition already weighed on her heart. Sure enough, she and Chu Muyun were once again dominating the top of the Weibo trending list.

At six o'clock this morning, a journalist had released a video accompanied by the caption:

*Did everyone have a wonderful Valentine's Day? I certainly choked on a massive mouthful of dog food. Upholding the principle that shared misery is better than solitary sorrow, I am posting this video right here.*

*Lest you all played too late on Valentine's Day and couldn't get up, I'm specially delivering the video at six o'clock to help wake you all up.*
