Chapter 107: Xie Li! Worth an Entire Floating City!
Stran was stunned for a moment, then shouted with a changed expression: “Stop! What did you do? How is this possible?!”
Lando withdrew the hand hidden behind his back and placed it in front, revealing the spiritual energy on it shrinking rapidly. He said with a smile, “So I told you, didn’t I? You! Said! It! Correctly!!!”
Lando’s companion crystal’s special dark element vanished bit by bit, and it finally turned into a zero-attribute tenth order as well!
Alice seemed to have expected this, stepping forward to block in front of Lando and stop Stran’s advance. She said with a grin, “Stran, losing is losing. You look really ugly like this now.” Her tone was exactly the same as when Stran had spoken to Lando earlier.
Leiya, though still a bit dazed, instinctively blocked in front of Lando.
Kalvo hesitated briefly before joining Stran’s side, forming a triangular stance with Lando and the others to increase the pressure on him.
Jens and Jamie remained silent, but their gazes locked tightly on Stran.
Stran could only watch in fury as Lando absorbed every last bit of the spiritual energy.
With the spiritual energy completely gone, Stran regained his composure: “I didn’t expect my careful planning to end up making a dress for you. Since when did you start suspecting me?”
Lando answered calmly, “From the very beginning. Your performance was too deliberate from the start, but I couldn’t confirm it then. It was only after I ‘transformed’ the companion crystal’s attribute that your behavior returned to normal.”
“So that’s how it was? It seems I’m still too young compared to those old foxes!”
“Boom~”
The vibrations of the Void Abyss grew even more violent, with huge rocks continuously crashing down from the sky as if the entire place might collapse at any moment.
“What?!”
Stran explained, “That crystal golem was actually the core of the ley line node in the entire crystal world. Its destruction triggered the chain collapse of all the crystals, and there probably won’t be a crystal world anymore.”
“What? World destruction?!” Lando suddenly recalled a conversation with his mentor Odo and cursed inwardly that the old man truly had a crow’s mouth.
None of them could do much about the world’s demise. Just as they prepared to divide the fragments of the crystal golem and depart, an invisible yet immense wave swept across the entire world, suppressing every last trace of its violent energy.
The world fell into absolute stillness. Apart from the arriving arcane mages, every person and object in the crystal world froze, as if the pause button had been pressed mid-film.
Beams of light descended from the heavens, landing on each arcane mage and carrying them away from this realm.
On the floating platform, the sudden exodus left most arcane mages bewildered. Yet Stran and the others scanned the surroundings and noticed Lando’s absence, understanding everything at once.
When Lando finally came to his senses, he found himself standing alone in the void. The darkness around him was pitch-black at times and strangely colorful at others, creating a deeply unsettling environment.
A single light point appeared not far ahead, the only contrast in the chaos.
It rapidly expanded until it formed a one-meter-tall diamond-shaped crystal that shimmered like transparent glass yet seemed to hold every color of the world.
Is this the great crystal life?! The thought flashed through Lando’s mind.
Just as the crystal life stirred, as if about to do something more…
“Boom~”
The space behind Lando tore apart like paper being ripped violently. Two figures stepped forward to stand before him.
Lex, who looked no older than a child, sized Lando up with a grin and said, “Mael, big brother, even though the outcome surprised us, it seems we don’t have to wait a few hundred years anymore!”
Mael nodded and turned to the crystal life. “The agreement on our side is complete. Now it’s your turn to fulfill your part.”
The crystal life flickered with light, and Lando sensed its approval.
Suddenly its radiance blazed brightly, constantly shifting until a sphere of light containing every color of the world coalesced before it. This was its power and path, and it was eager to bestow its finest gift upon the same clan now growing within.
Just as this radiant sphere drifted toward the companion crystal in Lando’s hand, Lando noticed Lex staring with open curiosity while Mael frowned slightly but offered no resistance, which eased his worries a little.
At that moment, a message rippled from the unrepaired spatial tear behind them.
“Are you looking for a clone, or a same-clan?”
The question made the crystal life pause, and it withdrew the radiant sphere.
Lando turned, and in a trance he glimpsed a colossal throne where a vague figure sat. The throne and its occupant grew larger and larger, stretching into infinity…
“Slap~”
Lando’s head was struck hard. He snapped back to reality just as Lex planted his hands on his hips and glared at him furiously. “Stop staring! If you keep it up, I’ll make sure your head is next!”
The warning sent a chill down Lando’s spine. He hurriedly turned away and refused to look again.
The light on the crystal life faded, restoring its transparent state. A square space crack opened nearby, revealing a fist-sized crystal block that seemed to contain something inside.
Mael exclaimed in surprise, “You really are generous!”
Lex’s eyes gleamed, and he nearly leaped to snatch the square crystal.
His movement darkened Mael’s expression. The older mage grabbed Lex by the collar, holding him in place as he flailed and kicked, utterly unmoved.
Under Lex’s heartbroken gaze, the square crystal finally dropped into Lando’s hands.
“This is a fine item. Once you’re out, hand it straight to your mentor and ask him to store it in the silver tower. If you one day become a grand arcane master, it will serve you well. If not, sell it when you reach legendary status. The resources needed for a floating city are almost exactly what you’d get.”
Lando’s jaw nearly hit the floor. He never imagined this object was worth an entire floating city!
He glanced at the crystal life, which flashed faintly in response.
“Gift?! To me??!!” Lando demanded. Though his companion crystal had absorbed the spiritual energy, the debt of gratitude still wasn’t his to claim.
The crystal flashed again.
Mael spoke gently. “This is a token of thanks for your future care of its same-clan. Take it.”
Lando examined the square crystal closely. Within it lay the entire crystal world, sealed by the crystal life and handed over as a gift.
When he focused on the miniature realm inside, he could see the crystal cluster forest where he had arrived, the fire-leopard tribe, and every building and person within it growing larger under his gaze.
The newly relocated sky bird tribe now lay in ruins, and the young woman named Shamira walked through its shattered crystal forest, covered in wounds, her expression a mixture of sorrow and resolve.
