Chapter 159: Disowning a Family Member for the Greater Cause
"Wait!"
Suddenly, a voice rang out.
Before anyone could figure out what was happening, four figures rushed in.
"Big brother! We've come to see you, we heard you're back."
Almost simultaneously, four hearty laughs echoed from outside.
Zhou Yan, who had already closed her eyes and resigned herself to her fate, snapped back to reality with a start.
She violently shoved Xiao Yang away and bolted upstairs in a shy panic.
At that moment, Xiao Yang stood frozen in place, utterly bewildered.
Staring at his empty arms, his mind went blank for a moment, unable to process what had just happened.
"Big brother! Big brother!"
The voices of the Four Young Masters of the Northern Desert echoed from outside the door.
The Hao brothers also snapped out of their daze, slapping their thighs as they realized they were in deep trouble.
"You four idiots, you really..." Hao Wenlong was gnashing his teeth in utter fury.
Yet, there was nothing he could do.
Thinking of the grave consequences, the two men swallowed hard and exchanged a glance.
They decided it would be best to let the four young masters leave first, and return to beg for forgiveness only after the young master's anger had subsided a little.
"What's wrong, Uncle Hao?"
Seeing the expression on the Hao brothers' faces, Jin Ying asked in confusion.
Hearing this, Hao Wenlong was so angry he laughed.
He roared indignantly, "What's wrong? You've brought a monstrous disaster upon us!"
The bodies of the four young masters trembled slightly as they looked at Hao Wenlong with nervous expressions.
"Uncle Wenlong, what kind of disaster could we possibly have brought?"
"Stop talking nonsense and run for your lives right now, or you won't even be able to run later!"
Feeling the terrifying aura approaching from behind, Hao Wenlong said anxiously.
Although he now served Xiao Yang, he couldn't simply stand by and watch his former master's bloodline get wiped out, could he?
He had to help wherever he could.
"Hurry up and go!"
Seeing Hao Wenlong's ferocious look, the Four Young Masters of the Northern Desert realized that this matter was truly massive.
Most likely, they really had provoked a catastrophic disaster.
By now, none of the four were fools; they turned and bolted without a moment's hesitation.
That speed was fast enough to leave even a Great Martial Master in the dust.
Anyone watching would have thought there was some ancient fierce beast chasing right behind them.
However, in the eyes of the Four Young Masters of the Northern Desert, Xiao Yang was far more terrifying than any ancient fierce beast.
At least if a fierce beast came, their old man would protect them.
If Xiao Yang came, their old man would most likely help him beat them up.
With that thought, the Four Young Masters of the Northern Desert increased their speed even further.
They sprinted all the way toward the City Lord's Mansion.
Full dozens of breaths passed.
Xiao Yang sauntered leisurely out of the Fortune Gathering Tower, his eyes sweeping across the surroundings.
"Where are they?"
He asked in a flat tone.
The Hao brothers trembled.
"Who?"
They asked nervously.
"The Four Young Masters of the Northern Desert, those four bastards!" he said through gritted teeth.
The rage burning inside Xiao Yang was monumental!
Just as he was about to taste success, that damn shout ruined everything.
All his efforts had gone down the drain.
Right now, his mood was as pleasant as having swallowed a dog—and then having that dog swallow him back.
He had the urge to beat those four to death right then and there.
"No idea, Young Master!"
Seeing Xiao Yang in such a towering rage, Hao Wenlong truly did not dare to reveal the whereabouts of the Four Young Masters of the Northern Desert.
"Fine! Then I'll go to the City Lord's Mansion to demand them."
With that, he strode off in the direction of the City Lord's Mansion.
These words sent a chill straight down the spines of the Hao brothers, making them shudder.
This meant he was actually going to beat those four half to death!
"Young Master, if you kill the Four Young Masters of the Northern Desert, you will be making an enemy of the Northern Dipper Kingdom," Hao Wenlong called out hurriedly.
However, Xiao Yang paused for a moment.
He glanced back at the Hao brothers, feeling somewhat speechless.
Was he the kind of person who killed indiscriminately?
Kill the Four Young Masters of the Northern Desert? Just the fact that he was technically their uncle meant he wouldn't kill them.
But those four were definitely not going to escape a brutal beating.
At the very least, they would have to spend a month bedridden to vent the hatred in his heart.
"I'm not going to kill them, I just want to beat them up."
With that, he bolted forward.
Hao Wenlong hurriedly gave chase, while Hao Huahu stayed behind to guard the Fortune Gathering Tower.
Just then, the Profound Ice White Tiger raised its head slightly.
Ultimately, it rose into the air, soaring after Xiao Yang.
Watching the receding figures, Hao Huahu remained frozen in a trance for a long time, before finally murmuring in sheer disbelief, "Riding the void... a Demon King-class powerhouse."
Instantly, Hao Huahu felt his scalp tingle.
If Xiao Yang were truly pushed to his limits, he genuinely possessed the strength to give the Northern Dipper Kingdom a massive headache.
A powerful Demon King could easily turn the entire kingdom upside down and leave no one in peace.
The only entity in the entire Northern Dipper Kingdom capable of subduing a Demon King was the current Sovereign.
However, the Sovereign always remained stationed in Northern Dipper City and could not travel at will.
That being the case, with a Demon King around, as long as he didn't court death by marching into Northern Dipper City, the entire kingdom would practically be his personal backyard.
"It's over! I just hope those four stinking brats can appease the Young Master's anger," Hao Huahu muttered quietly to himself, acutely aware of the gravity of the situation.
The Four Young Masters of the Northern Desert had rushed headlong into the City Lord's Mansion.
Right on cue, they bumped into Jin Buhuan, who was just about to head out.
They brushed right past his side without even greeting him.
This left him, as their father, extremely displeased.
"Stop right there," he roared.
The four young masters instantly ground to a halt.
They turned back with a look of treed apprehension.
"Dad! Is there something you need?" Jin Ying asked with an awkward, stiff smile.
Jin Buhuan was no fool of a father and saw through them at a glance.
Looking at the other three, they all wore the exact same awkward expressions.
For all four of them to exhibit this behavior simultaneously meant they must have gotten themselves into deep trouble!
Jin Buhuan's mind buzzed.
His face instantly darkened.
The four of them were useless at working hard, but genuine experts at causing trouble. He had to teach them a harsh lesson this time, or sooner or later, they would bring a catastrophic disaster upon his head.
Silently making up his mind, he resolved to straighten his four sons out thoroughly today.
"Speak! What did you idiots do?" he bellowed in rage.
The four of them already had guilty consciences, and under that thunderous roar, they dropped to their knees on the spot.
Without even caring what they had actually done, they began apologizing profusely.
"Dad! We were wrong, we'll never dare do it again!"
"Dad, we know our mistake!"
"Dad, please spare us just this once!"
All four men had tears welling in their eyes, weeping with a grief that sounded heart-wrenching.
Jin Buhuan, however, was boiling with fury.
Good grief! His bluff had actually hit the mark—they really were hiding something from him!
If he didn't give these four little bastards a severe whipping today, he might as well stop being their father.
With that thought, he took a step forward.
He marched right up in front of the four of them, and without another word, raised his hand and unleashed a flurry of rapid-fire slaps directly onto Jin Ying's face.
The speed was so fast it left afterimages.
By the time Jin Buhuan pulled back his hand, Jin Ying's face was battered, bruised, and swollen into the shape of a pig's head.
"Wuwuwu..."
Jin Ying opened his mouth, but couldn't manage to utter a single word.
Seeing their eldest brother beaten into such a miserable state, the other three nearly died of fright, their souls almost leaving their bodies.
They hurriedly begged for mercy.
"Dad! I am your biological son!"
Jin Xiong shouted at the top of his lungs, trying to ward off the slap that was about to descend upon him.
Only to hear Jin Buhuan's icy retort, "Is that little bastard Jin Ying not my biological son, then?"
That single sentence completely choked off Jin Xiong, leaving him speechless for a long time.
Meanwhile, Jin Hao and Jin Jie turned green with terror.
They finally realized the truth.
Their old man was fully prepared to sacrifice his own flesh and blood for righteousness today.
Biological sons or not, nobody was getting spared.
They scrambled to their feet, desperate to run.
However, the moment they stood up, hands clamped onto their shoulders from behind.
They were yanked back down with brute force.
Simultaneously, an icy voice rang out, "Where do the two of you think you're going?"
