“Mr. Robin, what are your thoughts on the upcoming duel?” Another reporter stepped forward.

“My opponent is a superhuman, while I am just an ordinary soldier. But as a Silver Wing Medal recipient, I do not fear battle!” Robin’s expression was resolute. “Even on enemy ground, surrounded by countless formidable foes, I will not disgrace the Duke.”

“The fact that my opponent is willing to give me this chance shows he is a true warrior.”

“And the gun in my hand will pay him the highest respect. I will give my all to take his head!”

Many reporters immediately caught the key points.

Not a superhuman, surrounded by powerful enemies, enemy territory!

One reporter, eager for a stir, handed over the microphone: “Mr. Robin, aren’t you afraid the enemy might cheat on their home turf?”

“He won’t. He could have executed me publicly right away, but he didn’t. Instead, he gave me a chance,” Robin said with the air of a hero respecting another hero. “If he wanted to cheat, why give me this opportunity?”

“Killing you outright in an official duel would hurt the Duke’s morale...” a reporter from the Volsini Times continued.

“No!” Robin said firmly. “Since it’s a duel, many will be invited to watch, right? How do you cheat in broad daylight? I will fight until the very last moment, shedding every last drop of blood!”

“Even if I lose, the Duke’s army will be inspired by my courage. They will understand that the Duke’s soldiers are no cowards! Their hearts will ignite with the fire of vengeance!”

The reporter from the Volsini Times sighed inwardly.

Though he argued cleverly, he was still just a child, too young to grasp the harsh realities of politics.

“But what if superhumans interfere in the battle?” another reporter asked. “They have many strange and uncanny abilities.”

“The dueling ground is a battlefield. I fear no challenge!” Robin said confidently. “If I feared everything, I wouldn’t have marched onto the battlefield!”

“If the Duke sees this report, please write that he must not risk himself for me, must not save me—I don’t want anyone to sacrifice themselves for me.”

“My bravery is a guiding torch!”

At first, Jennifer straightened her back, proud as Robin silenced the reporter from the Anzio Daily, feeling like his steadfast support.

Later, Robin’s praise of her lover made her cheeks flush involuntarily.

Is this what men mean by hero respecting hero?

Jennifer found Robin even more appealing.

This really is... my favorite type!

Alas, this duel is not for me...

Thinking this, Jennifer’s large eyes flickered.

Why can’t it be for me?

“May I ask how you’ve been living here? Has Captain Vincent been helping you adjust well?” another reporter inquired about Robin’s personal life.

“Of course. Captain Vincent is a worthy adversary, and Miss Jennifer takes very good care of me,” Robin replied.

Click, click, click...

Jennifer quickly revealed a pure, shy smile, like a delicate white flower.

After today, I will be famous throughout Volsini City.

By then, those chasing after me will line up from the hospital all the way to the Lus Federation?

How many fine young men will I have to choose from!

The nurses at the hospital will surely be jealous to death.

Thinking of this, Jennifer’s expression grew ever more charming.

...

Soon, today’s interview spread through every street and alley.

Anzio Daily

“Robin Rommel says: Duke Benito’s war was instigated solely for his own political gain.”

“To fill his belly, this Silver Wing Medal holder has turned his slaughtering blade against his own countrymen, taking pride in the massacre of his compatriots!”

Accompanied by candid photos of Robin’s cold smirks.

Volsini Times

“A duel between warriors—enemies, yet they respect each other.”

“Hope they have a fair duel, turning it into a hymn celebrating two brave warriors.”

Accompanied by photos of Robin holding the Silver Wing Medal and Vincent in military uniform.

Volsini Daily

“Vincent Rivendell, son of Marquis Sid, willingly serves as a lowly captain. When faced with a worthy enemy, he risks his life to duel a Silver Wing Medal holder who has slain nine second lieutenants, two first lieutenants, and one captain. He never sees himself as nobility, but solely as a soldier.”

Accompanied by a stylish photo of Vincent executing a high kick.

Volsini Weekly Extra

“Duke Benito suffers defeat; his war hero is forced to duel a superhuman in Volsini City. His Excellency Robin Rommel would rather bleed dry than compromise the Duke’s dignity. And Duke Benito? He can do nothing!”

“Now, Duke Benito is only clinging to life.”

“If Duke Benito surrenders, perhaps he can save face and reduce bloodshed.”

Many newspapers focused on different angles, various reports circulated.

These papers spread not only through the streets but also reached Duke Benito’s hands.

Black Mountain Army Camp, Command Headquarters.

Duke Benito stared at the stack of newspapers before him, his face as somber as still water.

He was a middle-aged man, tall, with a shining bald head, radiating an aura of commanding presence without raising his voice.

Besides these newspapers, he had also seen the full interview with Robin.

Honestly, Duke Benito found himself somewhat admiring this Silver Wing Medal holder.

Judging by his demeanor and calmness, being just an ordinary soldier seemed a waste of talent.

Though a bit naive, unaware of the opponent’s true intentions, he was a promising individual.

Alas, this man was now in enemy hands.

“Balbo,” Duke Benito’s fingers lightly tapped the papers. “What is your opinion?”

Balbo, the Duke’s advisor, was someone he relied on greatly.

Balbo appeared to be around fifty years old, with graying hair, a monocle on his right eye, dressed in uniform.

Though older, wearing the uniform made him look spirited.

“Your Grace, we cannot allow him to duel that captain on enemy ground,” Balbo said solemnly. “That’s the enemy’s stronghold. If they have psychic superhumans, they could force Robin to kneel and beg for mercy in front of everyone, recounting the Duke’s crimes. That would disgrace the Duke beyond repair.”
