The car that Steve and Jenny had driven on vacation was practically ruined.

To get out of the woods, they had no choice but to walk.

"Iron Pillar! Lead the way!"

Xu Wang shouted pompously.

Iron Pillar wagged its tail, immediately lowered its head, sniffed the scent, and started running outward.

Xu Wang and the other two immediately followed behind the dog's rear.

With the dog leading the way, it didn't take long for them to walk out of the dense forest.

It wasn't until they saw the highway outside the forest that Steve and Jenny, having just survived a brush with death, finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Having lived their entire lives in the civilized world, their ordeal in the forest over the past two days truly made them understand what it meant to cry out to the heavens with no response and pound the earth with no answer.

If it hadn't been for their good luck in running into Xu Wang, Steve's corpse would have grown cold by now.

"Following this road should lead us into the town, and from there you can hitch a ride and you'll be safe," Xu Wang said, pointing at the highway beneath their feet.

"Let's call the police once we get into town; maybe we can also seek help from the townspeople."

Jenny proposed what she thought was a very reasonable plan.

Only as soon as she finished speaking, she suddenly felt the atmosphere grow somewhat strange.

Turning her head, she saw that both Xu Wang and Steve were looking at her as if she were an absolute idiot.

"Did I say something wrong?"

"Nothing wrong at all."

Xu Wang first pacified Jenny, then turned back to look at Steve. "Your girlfriend's brain seems to be broken. Do you still want this piece of junk? If not, let me recycle it. I'm a scavenger."

Steve desperately wanted to say that Xu Wang was joking, but seeing Xu Wang's serious expression, his eyes suddenly widened as he realized Xu Wang was actually dead serious!

So he hastily changed the subject. "Your dog is so smart, too. Where did you buy it?"

"I scavenged it, too."

Xu Wang stared wide-eyed at Steve and reconfirmed, "Your girlfriend is genuinely broken. You really don't plan on throwing her away?"

Steve let out a helpless sigh. If anyone else had said that to him, he would have been angry long ago.

Yet facing Xu Wang, Steve could only shake his head and respond earnestly, "I'm not throwing her away. She's my girlfriend."

"What a rarity. It seems you're also someone who likes collecting scrap."

Xu Wang cast a smile of kindred spirit toward Steve.

Beside them, Jenny's face turned dark.

She could tell that Xu Wang genuinely had no intention of using sarcasm or double entendres against her.

Yet it just so happened that the truth was what hurt the most.

By now, she had also snapped to her senses.

That little punk named Brett was dead.

The other brats had also fled back to town.

If nothing went wrong, the adults in the town must surely know about this by now.

The town here was so remote.

Heaven only knows if the adults who learned of the children's deaths would go mad.

Their situation might become even more dangerous by then.

Realizing this, Jenny knew she had just been talking nonsense.

In the movie plot of *Eden*, Jenny, having finally escaped the forest, sought help from the adults in the town, which ultimately led to her death.

Who knew what kind of other torments she endured before dying.

"Let's listen to Xu Wang. We'll find a passing car to hitch a ride and leave directly. That's the safest way."

Out of concern for safety, Steve ultimately decided to follow Xu Wang's advice.

After going through so much, he had finally learned caution.

"Since you're fine now, I wish you a safe journey. I still have some business to attend to, so I won't accompany you any further."

Seeing that Steve and his girlfriend had made the correct choice, Xu Wang nodded with satisfaction, took his dog, and walked straight toward the town.

Characters in horror movies often weren't that easy to kill.

As long as they weren't too stubbornly reckless and left dangerous places immediately upon realizing something was wrong, they basically wouldn't run into trouble.

You could say that most horror movie characters died of sheer stubbornness and stupidity.

Xu Wang also thought they were stupid.

However, those foolish behaviors could serve as a walkthrough for seeking death as far as Xu Wang was concerned.

As long as he copied them, dying in a horror movie world ought to be quite simple.

Parting ways with Steve and the other, Xu Wang led Iron Pillar forward along the highway.

Before long, they entered the town.

Xu Wang had never been to this town before.

Nor did he know what it originally looked like.

From his current impression, it felt somewhat desolate.

"Ah!!!"

Right at that moment, a scream shattered the tranquil atmosphere.

They saw that out of a house by the roadside, that thick-lipped black youth, March Marc, came screaming and charging out!

He was covered in blood and collapsed to the ground after taking only a couple of steps.

It appeared!

The flat-ground stumble mandatory in horror movies!

Xu Wang turned his head to look at the house behind the black youth, March.

He saw Jason walking out while dragging the corpse of another older black man, casually tossing it aside, gripping a machete, and walking step by step toward March.

It seemed those little bastards had successfully fled back to town, but in the end, they were still caught up by Jason.

That older black male was probably March's father.

He was likely dispatched by Jason during the process of fighting back.

March Marc was quite fortunate.

As a black person, he actually had a dad.

However, this dad was as good as not having one and failed completely to provide any parenting.

So he still didn't have a dad.

"Good morning, Jason!"

Xu Wang walked forward as if strolling, his expression as relaxed as if he were greeting a neighbor. "Hacking people up? Working early in the morning, you really have a lot of energy! Go ahead with your business; I'll come look for you later!"

Hearing someone call out to him and seeing it was Xu Wang, Jason turned his head back in silence, then brought his blade down to kill March Marc right before him.

Those little bastards were people Xu Wang wanted to kill anyway.

Since Jason was so enthusiastic about helping out, he might as well let him finish his work first.

"Things have come to this, let's go get some food first. Better than eating those nasty things when we go back."

Xu Wang patted Iron Pillar's head, ignored Jason the slasher over there, and casually found a restaurant nearby.

"Good morning! Is anyone there?! I'm here to eat!"

Xu Wang pushed open the door of the restaurant.

What met his eyes was utter chaos inside.

A bit further in, there was also the corpse of an older woman lying on the floor.

Sticking out of her chest was a chair leg.

"Goodness!"

Xu Wang covered his mouth with both hands. "This is so pitiful!"

"Even though it's summer, you still need to pay attention to staying warm when you sleep. How can you leave your stomach uncovered?"

Xu Wang looked left and right, kindly picked up a plastic bottle cap, and placed it right over the middle-aged woman's navel, finally nodding with satisfaction.

He lifted his leg to step over the woman's corpse and walked straight toward the back kitchen.

He wanted to see if he could whip up something to eat.

Only upon entering the walk-in freezer of the back kitchen, Xu Wang was completely dumbfounded.

Inside the freezer, human corpses were hung in mid-air by meat hooks, just like slaughtered pigs.

The corpses had already been processed cleanly, looking like ingredients ready to be put into a pot at any moment.

The visual impact of this scene was far too intense.

Xu Wang hurriedly retreated out of the freezer.

Seeing the corpses of his own kind treated as ingredients instinctively made him feel deeply unsettled.

"Woof! Woof! Woof!"

A few barks came from nearby.

Iron Pillar dropped its dog bowl and dragged a basket out from beneath a cabinet.

Inside that basket were various valuables such as cell phones, rings, and wallets.

The moment Xu Wang saw it, he understood.

Holy crap.

It turns out the entire town is made up of villains!
