Zijin, having reached level 10, put all the attribute points granted by the system into Agility. He immediately equipped the five pieces of purple gear, then glanced at his own stats.
He had shown the gambling house some consideration. He came there often, after all, and did not want to sever ties completely. Besides, he wanted to see the woman he admired, so he had let matters go this far.
At last, Ed followed Yiliji to the entrance of a spacious parlor on the third floor, complete with an open-air terrace. Yiliji stopped there.
Early the next morning, he had thought he might be able to visit the estate and investigate the situation, but the estate’s current owner was still overseas. He had no choice but to continue waiting for news from Yu Qingshan.
Xiao Shengyuan had also secretly urged Cheng Yixue to spend more time with Jian Shuyi. Otherwise, she might never get past that obstacle in her heart, and being trapped inside for too long would eventually make her ill.
Another young man. Gao Di watched that retreating figure. Without pausing, he lit himself another cigar, his eyes blinking slowly and inexplicably, as though he were pondering something in silence.
After all, she too wanted to make a good impression in front of the old lady, but unfortunately, she still could not compare with those two.
Or perhaps it had been one day in high school, when he saw his elder brother proudly announce in private that he was the Luo family’s natural head and their grandfather’s true successor?
“Not bad. You almost killed me.” The Peerless Demon God continued speaking in an utterly unperturbed tone.
Yuan Xi hurried to Luoxi’s side and stroked her hair. Feeling the warmth brush over her head, Luoxi’s heart seemed to be soothed as well. It was as though a spring breeze had passed by, its gentle warmth sinking deep into her chest.
Lü Huan quickly opened her phone’s camera and was astonished to discover that she had already returned to her original appearance.
“It’s fine. Everything will be fine!” Rong Shan did not know whether he was comforting the Celestial Master or himself—or perhaps both.
Then the black magical artifact suddenly unleashed a tremendous gale. Countless strange fragments, streaked with red light, came flying through the air.
Even Lin Manxi and the outsider Xu Yidong could no longer tolerate Gu Yanshen and Qi Xin’s words. Whatever faint goodwill they had once held toward the pair had now vanished completely.
After eating only a little, Jiang Fei, Lu Yuxiao, and Xiao Chuxia were in no mood to chat, so they went to rest in their respective tents.
Only then did Ding Shan’an leap out from underground, immediately sweeping his gaze over the Tang Sect disciples surrounding him.
A gentle light shimmered in her eyes, as though it could melt all the coldness in the world. Her smile was like the warm sunlight of spring, bright and comforting, making people unable to resist drawing closer.
Only then did they see clearly that the fruit seller’s bald head was swollen, one of his teeth was missing, and both of his eye sockets were blackened.
They were not fools. Even Qin Guoyu had been too afraid to say anything, so what could the rest of them possibly have to add?
Following the thick tree roots, Leng Mingxu slowly made his way around to the other side of the tree. On one of its branches, a transparent white wishing bottle stood out strikingly amid the lush, multicolored world.
At dusk, as the first lamps came alight, the snow-covered rooftops shifted into glasslike colors beneath the glow of the colored lights. In the modern world, Ye Qingcheng rarely had such leisure. She was like a machine wound to its limit, training and studying without pause.
“Uh…” The Prince of Pingjiang was suddenly rendered speechless. For a moment, he did not know what to say. He clasped his hands in front of him, his thumbs circling one another.
After shouting, the old lady’s eyes turned bloodshot. She glared once more, then rushed out without paying the slightest attention to Qiao Anming.
“What do you mean, a month from now? You want to go have fun?” After he finished speaking, I rolled my eyes, lowered my hand, and looked at him helplessly.
As the door closed, the smile on Aya’s face vanished without a trace the next second. In its place was an utterly emotionless expression.
At that very moment, deep beneath the earth, a gigantic creature suddenly opened its blood-red, murderous eyes and looked toward the Changsheng Star Domain.
Having spoken matters to this point, neither Bai Pianran’s pride nor Jin Xichen’s intimidating nature would allow her to remain. She forced a smile and said goodbye to Jin Xichen before getting out of the car.
She had already developed her own way of dealing with him. For someone so completely self-centered, asking for his opinion was often useless. It was better to make the decision for him directly, leaving him no room to refuse.
The man’s voice was filled with unmistakable smugness. This person was An Pengpeng, one of Zou Hao’s good-for-nothing friends.
Yang Yi’s rhetorical question left Silver Fox speechless. After thinking it over carefully, a bitter feeling rose within him.
Hua Xiangrong had never seen Earthcore Azure Flame before. Although she sensed something unusual about its aura, she could never have associated it with fire.
Xi Yu found everything that had just happened both curious and astonishing. They had clearly been on the same side, so why had they fought so fiercely?
“Qing’er has an exam and can’t accompany me. I couldn’t think of anyone else who could, either. You know I don’t have many close friends. Most of the people I know are friends from work, so I thought of you!” Fang Qinghan said as she looked at Ye Long.
Just as the man called Skeleton was about to kick Gale in the face, a shout rang out from behind the enormous boulder. Skeleton’s movement halted, and an irritated look appeared on his face.
The man by the boulder, known as He Xiaoyu, led his companions forward and faced Skeleton. A faint air of authority colored his voice.
The side peak sloped upward at an angle of roughly forty degrees. Spiral stone steps had been built into the mountainside, and everyone climbed them one step at a time. Before long, they reached the mountainside and looked upward, where they could clearly see the massive iron chain stretched across the sky between the two peaks.
Su Yiyi’s voice was alluring enough to make a man’s bones go soft, but Qin Yang still wore an indifferent expression as he listened.
