Chapter 14: The Locomotive Girl

It was ten o’clock at night, and the air was slightly cool.
In fact, Chu Feng did not feel lonely; on the contrary, he was full of energy.
When he left Shi Wenjing’s place, for some reason, his entire body was brimming with strength.
Chu Feng understood clearly that this was likely the effect of the Esoteric Buddhism’s Joyful Zen practice.
He strolled in the breeze, not rushing to get into his car right away.
He took out his phone and dialed Li Xueli’s number.
“Why aren’t you back yet?” Li Xueli asked immediately upon answering.
Chu Feng chuckled, “What, you haven’t even divorced yet, but you’re already thinking about becoming my housekeeper?”
“No! I... I can’t cook,” Li Xueli stammered.
“Alright, I’ll bring some food back for you, should take no more than half an hour,” Chu Feng said.
He had to maintain a good relationship with Li Xueli because she was a sharp weapon in his revenge against Zhang Fuqiang.
And a sharp weapon must be honed carefully.
So that at the crucial moment, it could pierce through Zhang Fuqiang’s heart in one strike.
There happened to be a stir-fried noodle stall by the roadside. Chu Feng walked over and said, “Boss, one order of stir-fried noodles, the full set!”
“Alright!” The owner immediately got to work.
Chu Feng sat on a small stool in front of the stall, lit a cigarette, and gazed at the night view along the riverbank.
The night in Jiangcheng always carried a hidden clamor, evoking a wave of sighs in Chu Feng’s heart.
Boom! Boom!
The sound of a motorcycle approached from afar.
Chu Feng looked up and saw a woman in a black leather jacket riding the motorcycle, pulling over nearby.
The black leather jacket accentuated the woman’s figure perfectly.
She removed her helmet, scanned the surrounding crowd, and finally fixed her gaze on a man sitting alone in a corner.
The man smiled faintly, got off his bike, and walked straight up to sit opposite Chu Feng, softly saying, “Mind if we share a table?”
Chu Feng glanced at her, “Sure, I’m just here to take out my food.”
He felt this woman was somewhat familiar, as if he had seen her somewhere before.
“Have we met somewhere?” Chu Feng asked.
The stall owner laughed, “Buddy, your pick-up skills aren’t great. Pretty ladies probably hear this line all the time.”

The woman smiled faintly, “What, without the cheongsam and dressed in riding gear, you don’t recognize me?”
“You are...” Chu Feng immediately remembered. This woman was the cheongsam girl who was always by Ma Long’s side.
“My name is Xuan Xuan. Ma Long is my uncle,” she extended her hand.
“So he’s your uncle,” Chu Feng shook her hand.
But he soon frowned, feeling calluses on Xuan Xuan’s hand. Though well hidden, they were clearly formed from long-term martial arts training.
It seemed she was not someone to be trifled with.
At that moment, three thugs carrying weapons approached from a distance. One slammed a baseball bat heavily onto the table.
Seeing them, Chu Feng recalled that Jiangcheng had yet to start a thorough crackdown on gangs; many petty hooligans still roamed the streets at night.
Especially at night, they were particularly rampant.
“From now on, this area is cleared out!” a chubby thug said fiercely, his gaze sweeping over Xuan Xuan and Chu Feng.
The surrounding customers and vendors showed fear and quickly dispersed.
Xuan Xuan frowned, but Chu Feng remained seated, continuing to eat his meal.
The chubby thug glared at them darkly, “You two, aren’t you going to scram?”
Xuan Xuan frowned slightly and replied, “There are plenty of empty seats. Why do you have to clear the place as soon as you show up?”
The thug sneered, “Little girl, have you heard of Boss Qiang’s name?”
Xuan Xuan was slightly taken aback, then said, “Zhang Fuqiang?”
“Zhang Fuqiang? Why is he everywhere?” Chu Feng’s irritation rose sharply.
He had hoped after the family fiasco, things would calm down, but now he was hearing that name here as well.
The stall owner handed Chu Feng his stir-fried noodles, “Buddy, you better leave now. This meal’s on me.”
Obviously, the owner was looking out for Chu Feng.
The chubby thug placed one foot on the table arrogantly.
He boasted, “Not bad! Tonight, our boss is having dinner with Boss Qiang. The old man is nostalgic and cares about this stall, so our big brother is hosting him here! And you two, what are you? How dare you sit with Boss Qiang?”
As he spoke, the thug sneered and slammed his weapon on the table, instantly knocking over the dishes and flipping the table.
“Be smart and leave now, or this will be your fate!” The thug raised his weapon and smashed another table threateningly.
But the overturned table knocked the plastic bag out of Chu Feng’s hand.
The freshly made stir-fried noodles spilled everywhere.

Xuan Xuan frowned and stood beside Chu Feng, keenly awaiting his response.
Would he swallow his humiliation and sneak away?
Or stand his ground and argue?
Chu Feng’s face darkened instantly.
He looked at the noodles on the ground and said slowly, “You smashed my food.”
The chubby thug was stunned for a moment, then snorted, pointing at himself and then at Chu Feng, “You want me to pay for your food?”
Chu Feng nodded, “Yes.”
The thug glanced at his two companions and burst into loud laughter.
“Alright, no problem. I’ll add a little extra. If we beat you up, we’ll pay for it together! Get him!”
At that moment, two henchmen charged forward. One swung a weapon at the seated Chu Feng.
Chu Feng’s figure flashed nimbly, dodging the attack skillfully, and picked up a nearby glass bottle, smashing it onto one henchman’s head.
Prison life was unbearably dull. Besides chatting, Chu Feng spent his time training.
In prison, he had befriended a boxer who often brought him to train together.
It was said the boxer lost a fight in the ring but ambushed his opponent outside, rupturing his spleen.
Crash!
The glass shattered, and the henchman collapsed.
“Bastard!” The other henchman tried to flank Chu Feng from behind.
Chu Feng sneered, stood up, and kicked the man squarely, sending him crashing into a table.
The table was destroyed instantly, and the second henchman also fell unconscious.
The chubby thug was alarmed, quickly grabbing his companion’s weapon and swinging it at Chu Feng.
Chu Feng easily disarmed him with a deft move and locked his arm.
Xuan Xuan covered her mouth in surprise.
“What kind of background does this guy have, besides being unfathomably deep, he’s also so skilled?” she wondered, her curiosity about Chu Feng growing.
“You?” The thug stared at Chu Feng in disbelief. “Let go of me, or my boss won’t forgive you!”
Chu Feng said coldly, “This arm of yours, you won’t be needing it anymore.”
