Those consumed by boundless desire become nightmares upon the world.

“How urgent is it? Is it as urgent as reincarnation?” Chen Sheng asked curiously. In all his years, this was the first time he’d seen a ghost with such an anxious expression.
Well, after all, there aren’t really ghosts in real life!
The little ghost girl gritted her teeth, glaring at Chen Sheng’s earnest face. If she didn’t need his help, she would have punched him right then and there.
The house is burning down and you’re still asking how urgent it is?
Clenching her tiny fists, the little ghost girl fought to control the rage that was about to explode inside her.
“He has a punishment weapon…”
“He has a punishment weapon…”
Repeating this to herself several times, the little ghost girl felt a wave of calm wash over her heart. The world suddenly seemed beautiful, even this black-and-white afterworld appeared to be bursting with color.
“If it’s not as urgent as reincarnation, I’ll go take my revenge first,” Chen Sheng said calmly. No man could resist the temptation of a gun; if there was one, it would only be because he preferred the Merciful Gatling Bodhisattva, or perhaps the Righteous Rocket-Prophet.
At the moment, Chen Sheng was quite taken with the Gatling Bodhisattva—the rattle of gunfire was, to him, the most beautiful sound in the world, even sweeter than a girl’s delicate moan.
“Yes!” the little ghost girl shouted in frustration.
How unfair to ghosts! Is having a punishment weapon so impressive?
Fine, holding a punishment weapon really is impressive. Any lesser spirit would kneel in submission…
“So, Master, are you going to be reincarnated?” Chen Sheng asked, since she’d said it was as urgent as reincarnation. And if something’s as urgent as reincarnation, it must be reincarnation, right?
This isn’t “enlightenment after a single conversation”—this is “my family has two trees, one is a jujube tree, and the other is also a jujube tree.”
The little ghost girl was speechless.
Reincarnate your—
The little ghost girl, who could have become a telegraph operator in a second, erupted inwardly with an endless stream of elegant curses. Outwardly, she forced a smile, her voice strained as if she had a cramp: “No, it’s just that my territory has been stolen! Boohoo…”
She pretended to cry, but after a while, when she didn’t hear the expected words of comfort, she stopped and looked up. She saw Chen Sheng glancing around, apparently discovering something that piqued his interest.

Sure enough, the next moment he asked, “Master, what’s going on over there? Why are there so many people?”
The little ghost girl fumed silently.
You rebellious disciple! Ignoring me has its limits!
I’m a ghost!
A ghost, you know!
One with dignity!
But her angry stare went completely unnoticed by Chen Sheng—he simply didn’t see it, because the scene ahead had captured all his attention.
Up ahead was a typical sight in the afterworld: a backdrop painted in black and white. But unlike last time, this time the street was crowded with people.
It seemed to be a food street, with people desperately eating. But that wasn’t the point. The point was that Chen Sheng found these people strangely familiar.
“That’s the Nightmare Realm,” came the little ghost girl’s voice, snapping Chen Sheng back to reality. He quickly looked down and asked, “Master, what is the Nightmare Realm?”
“It’s a special area in the afterworld, with all sorts of little rules set by the territory’s owner. Anyone entering must obey those rules and complete the tasks set by the owner. But the tasks for the living and the dead are different,” the little ghost girl explained, unable to hide her envy.
She had planned to recruit ghosts to her side and turn her street into a Nightmare Realm. But anything involving math beyond ten fingers was too much for her, so she’d put it off.
Chen Sheng nodded. Isn’t this just a game dungeon?
So the afterworld isn’t a dungeon—it’s the second game map!
This healing game truly has innovative settings and unique gameplay!
He asked, “How did those living people get in? Did they buy tickets?”
The little ghost girl was speechless.
Tickets? What nonsense was that?
Do you even understand the afterworld at all?
Suppressing her complaints, she explained, “No, it’s not tickets… I heard them say that only those with great desire from another world can cross over and enter the Nightmare Realm to complete tasks.”
Hearing this, Chen Sheng gave a silent thumbs-up. That almost confused him!
Isn’t it just “players”?

“Those with great desire who cross worlds”—that’s certainly a highbrow way to put it.
Just then, the little ghost girl suddenly asked, “Tempted, aren’t you?”
“Tempted?” Chen Sheng was startled. Tempted by what? Was it the opportunity to do tasks in the Nightmare Realm and level up?
At that thought, his heart blazed with excitement.
“If you seize enough territory, you can make your own Nightmare Realm!” the little ghost girl urged, feigning nonchalance.
To create a Nightmare Realm?
Isn’t that—creating your own dungeon?
Chen Sheng’s eyes widened. Could this be the greatest benefit of becoming her disciple?
This healing game really is ahead of the industry!
His excitement grew—letting players design their own dungeons for others to play sounded way more fun than just clearing dungeons.
He asked, “If those with great desire complete the tasks, what rewards do I have to provide?”
He didn’t even have any “in-game currency” in this healing game. The only rewards he could offer were some firearms and ammunition he’d just “borrowed” from an arms dealer. But he doubted those would interest the “players.”
“Lifespan, second chances, good health, lost love, reviving the dead…” the little ghost girl rattled off without hesitation.
Chen Sheng was dumbfounded.
This healing game really knows how to play—making it all seem so real.
Still, the fact that rewards weren’t just weapons or materials was a refreshing surprise to Chen Sheng.
“Master, those are too high-end. Are there any lower-tier rewards?” he asked.
“Ghost-taming techniques, soul-stealing methods, and other secret arts of raising ghosts…” the little ghost girl replied uncertainly—after all, she’d never created a Nightmare Realm herself. The earlier rewards were common knowledge; these she’d only heard about from her ghostly neighbors.
Hearing this, Chen Sheng gave up on the idea of creating a Nightmare Realm—he couldn’t offer those rewards either.
So he asked, “Master, you said your territory was stolen. What are you going to do now?”
